My background
At 17 all my dreams came true when
I was chosen to represent South Africa in Germany as an
exchange student, through the Rotary Exchange Programme.
I spent 1998 in Bremen, where I learned and experienced
far more than I had bargained for.
On my return to South Africa, I
went straight to work while studying IT part-time. Fast
forward through a few companies, years and positions
later, I found myself in the marketing department of a
well known insurance company and I loved every minute of
it.
I later moved to a new company
with a better position and am proud to have ended my
corporate career having managed the marketing functions
for that organisation.
I continue my studies towards a
BBA (IMM) Degree as I love learning a wide spectrum of
subjects.
How did I choose Coaching?
I think it may have chosen me...
The birth of my daughter, Madison,
was life changing for me. It was in those days that
followed it when I was hit by some pretty serious
realisations.
I realised that I had been
plodding along and working very hard to live up to the
expectations of some key people around me at the time...
there was no end in sight, no finish line or point of
arrival.
Of course, no-one wants to
believe those things about themselves, so I overcame my
desire to be a full-time mom and went back to work so
that we could 'keep up with the Jones’.
A few months after the birth of
my baby, I lost my dad, tragically. At this low point in
my life I found inspiration and more powerful
realisations flooded in. I asked myself a simple
question, “When my time is up – what will I leave
behind?” It wasn’t long before I resigned from work to
follow my dreams and begin a journey of self-discovery.
I discovered the concept of life
coaching and loved the meaningful substance of it. I was
going to do it all, have a career and have time
with my family.
Now, as a qualified Life Coach
my job is one that dreams are made of - I help people
strategise, I challenge them to try things differently,
I create awareness of self and others, I help people
through difficult times and we celebrate the good times,
we set goals and we conquer!
So who are my clients and what
do I bring to the coaching table?
We human beings are so
EXTRA–ordinary that we fulfil so many roles in our
lives, each one overlapping into the other. And we are
not simply defined by any one role. This is the reason
that I ‘tailor coach’ to suit the individual client for
a perfect fit.
The environment with which you
are met at my coaching practice is professional,
compassionate, informative and non-judgmental.
My clients are people who are
willing to try... so whether you are:
- a teenager who is
struggling to find yourself while keeping up the
grades;
- a person looking to make a
career change;
- an individual seeking
personal growth;
- a person wanting a more
fulfilling life;
- someone who is thinking of
taking a leap of faith;
- someone who thinks that
they can’t;
- a corporate looking to
build a team of whole individuals;
Or anyone who finds themselves
at a junction in their life...
...Good news!
I’m the coach for you!
